On March 22 Beijing time, the NBA official released an announcement, issuing two fines. The 76ers center was fined $25,000 for making a shooting celebration gesture on the court, while Magic guard Suggs was also fined $25,000 for throwing his mouthguard toward the spectator stands.

The NBA official stated that 76ers center Andre Drummond was fined $25,000 for making an inappropriate gesture on the court. NBA Executive Vice President of Basketball Operations James Jones announced this disciplinary decision. The incident occurred during the Friday game where the 76ers defeated the Kings 139-118 on the road, with 8 seconds remaining in the third quarter.

After Drummond hit a three-pointer, he made a shooting gesture toward the Kings' bench as a provocation. In the entire game, Drummond scored 13 points and 11 rebounds, including making all three of his three-point attempts.
So far this season, Drummond has played in 52 games, averaging 6.7 points and 8.7 rebounds per game. His salary for this season is $5 million.
The NBA official also stated that Magic guard Jalen Suggs was fined $25,000 for throwing his mouthguard toward the spectator stands.

This incident occurred during the Friday game where the Magic lost to the Hornets on the road, with 5 minutes and 35 seconds remaining in the first quarter, at which time Suggs received a technical foul for this action.
Suggs was the fifth overall pick in the 2021 draft. So far this season, he has played in 46 games (averaging 26.8 minutes per game), contributing averages of 13.8 points, 5.2 assists, 3.8 rebounds, and 1.9 steals per game, with shooting percentages of 43.5% from the field, 32.5% from three-point range, and 83.8% from the free-throw line. This 24-year-old player is known for his tough defense and was selected to the All-Defensive Second Team a few years ago.
During the 2024 offseason, Suggs signed a five-year rookie max contract extension worth $150.5 million. This contract features decreasing annual salaries, with the first-year salary reaching $35 million, so this fine has minimal impact on his financial income.
