Curry postpones 5v5 scrimmage! Uncertainty about his return? Medical team will re-evaluate.

On March 24 Beijing time, before the Warriors lost 110-126 to the Hawks, the team officially stated that Curry's recovery progress is good, and his individual training intensity has increased. According to the team injury report, in the coming days, he will begin participating in contact drills and team practices. Warriors head coach Kerr said over the weekend that Curry is expected to join Monday's full 5v5 scrimmage. However, league sources revealed that Curry did not participate in Monday's practice. The team internally insists this is not a setback; Curry is still progressing steadily according to the announced recovery timeline.

Warriors superstar Curry has been absent since January 31 due to right knee patellofemoral pain syndrome accompanied by bone bruising, missing the team's last 21 consecutive games. Even before the All-Star weekend, this injury caused persistent pain and swelling, leading to Curry's extended absence.

Next, Curry will continue to increase his on-court training workload. After the Warriors return from their Tuesday road game against the Mavericks back to San Francisco, the medical team will re-evaluate him.

Regarding Curry's right knee injury, the Warriors have adopted an extremely conservative and cautious treatment plan, thus delaying his 5-on-5 team practice time. In previous reports, the Warriors were optimistic about Curry returning after the six-game road trip. In the team's final 10 games, 7 are at home at Chase Center, avoiding long travel, which facilitates systematic knee treatment for Curry.

For weeks, the Warriors hoped Curry could be available for the two home games on March 26 and March 28 (against the Nets and Wizards respectively). Sources say this plan remains unchanged, but the final decision on his return depends on his training status on Wednesday and the re-evaluation results after returning to San Francisco.

Curry and the Warriors have never decided to shut him down for the season. Curry hopes to return before the regular season ends. Despite the team's ranking decline without Curry, the Warriors believe they still have the capability to compete for a playoff spot once Curry returns.

In the 21 games without Curry, the Warriors only achieved 6 wins and 15 losses. Previously, the team was only 1.5 games behind the seventh-place Suns in the West; now they trail the ninth-place Trail Blazers by 1.5 games.

If they lose to the Mavericks today, the Warriors will fall to tenth place in the West, making the situation more critical.

During recovery, the Warriors repeatedly stated that Curry's recovery has not encountered any setbacks. His injury, commonly known as "runner's knee," simply involves pain and swelling lasting longer than expected, without worsening. Multiple imaging tests confirmed no structural damage in his right knee.

Currently, the Warriors' record is 33 wins and 38 losses, having lost 8 of their last 9 games before today.
