12 out of 10! Yang Hansen's teammate! Another elite NBA forward emerges.

Yang Hansen finally got playing time in a regular game, logging about nine minutes. He shot 2-for-2 from the field, 1-for-0 from the free-throw line, scoring 4 points and grabbing 3 rebounds with a +2 plus-minus, and also delivered two indirect assists.

Returning from the G League, and perhaps facing a lineup of mostly developmental league players, Yang Hansen clearly played more relaxed and free than before, making moves boldly without any hesitation.

With the victory over the Nets, the Trail Blazers now hold a record of 36 wins and 37 losses, a winning percentage of 49.3%, currently ranking ninth in the Western Conference, trailing the eighth-place Clippers by only 0.5 games.

If they can secure the eighth spot in the West before the end of the regular season, it would give the Trail Blazers an advantage. Then they would only need to play one game in the play-in against the seventh seed; winning would grant them the 7th seed for the playoffs, and losing would still allow them to play another play-in game against the winner between the ninth and tenth seeds for the 8th seed.

The Trail Blazers' performance this season has indeed been impressive. If they can actually make the playoffs, perhaps Splitt could be promoted to a permanent head coach, establishing himself officially in Portland. Although his usage of Yang Hansen, the 16th pick in the first round of the 2025 draft, is debatable, results ultimately speak for themselves.

Playing for a playoff-bubble team like the Trail Blazers can be quite awkward for most rookies.
