23+22+22+20! Congratulations Warriors! Finally found Curry's successor

Against the Mavericks: 20 points, 10 rebounds, & 6 assists; Against the Nets: 22 points, 6 rebounds, & 5 assists; Against the Wizards: 22 points, 10 rebounds, & 7 assists; Against the Nuggets: 23 points, 5 rebounds, & 2 assists.

In the recent four games, Podziemski averaged comprehensive stats of 21.8 points, 8.7 rebounds, and 4 assists, with three shooting percentages of 52.8%, 46.2%, and 95%.

Could this guy truly be Curry's successor?

Podziemski was born on February 25, 2003. He is a 1.93m tall, 1.97m wingspan combo guard, drafted as the 19th pick in the first round of the 2023 draft. This is his third season, averaging 13.3 points, 5.3 rebounds, 3.8 assists, and 1.1 steals per game, with shooting percentages of 44.8%, 36.8%, and 77.5%. Many of these stats are career highs.

It's worth noting that Bay Area reporter Tim Kawakami previously revealedPodziemski hopes to secure a contract extension this summer exceeding Moody's (three years, $39 million). Additionally, the Warriors are unwilling to offer Podziemski a contract close to Jordan Poole's (four years, $140 million).

Undoubtedly, based on Podziemski's performance, his expectations can indeed go beyond three years and $39 million. Moreover, as the Warriors' most promising and ready Curry successor currently on the roster, he has even more reason to hold the initiative in contract extension negotiations.

Curry, Butler, and Draymond Green—three veterans whose combined age is 110—all have contracts running until the summer of 2027. It's time, or rather overdue, for the Warriors to establish a new cornerstone for the team.

The Warriors' current record is 36 wins and 39 losses, ranking tenth in the Western Conference, trailing the eighth-place Clippers by three wins.

If the Warriors finish the regular season as the tenth seed, they must first win the first play-in game against the ninth seed, then win the second play-in game against the loser between the eighth and seventh seeds, to enter the playoffs as the eighth seed.

If Podziemski can lead the team to two consecutive wins in the play-in games, the Warriors would undoubtedly elevate him to a revered status, and perhaps even consider offering a max contract extension.
