James set to play back-to-back against the Suns! Smart returns, Hayes absent, Kennard's injury raises concerns.

On April 11th Beijing time, the Los Angeles Lakers have two regular-season games remaining, both crucial for their seeding before the Western Conference playoffs begin. Ahead of today's home game against the Suns, sharpshooting guard Kennard appeared on the Lakers' injury report, a worrying sign for this storied franchise.

Kennard is questionable due to a left finger injury, Smart has been cleared from the injury list, while Hayes is out. James, despite jamming his right pinky finger yesterday, is not on the injury report and is expected to play the back-to-back against the Suns. Statistics show that since Reaves and Doncic have been absent, James averages 28 points, 13 rebounds, 8.5 assists, and 1.5 steals with a 64% true shooting percentage. As the primary offensive option, LeBron is performing exceptionally well.

Although Kennard's injury is concerning—given his excellent performance since joining the Lakers at the trade deadline—the team will welcome back veteran guard Smart, who has missed nine games.

Unfortunately, center Hayes will miss his third consecutive game due to a left foot injury. The Lakers must continue to heavily rely on starting center Ayton, along with Tim and Vanderbilt to fill the void.

The Lakers hope Hayes' foot injury is not severe and will not affect his availability for the playoffs starting on April 19th.

A positive for the Lakers is that after Monday's regular-season finale against the Utah Jazz, the team will have five days to rest and recover, preparing personnel health for the first round of the playoffs.

Clearly, the Lakers' primary concern now is the injuries to their two star players, Doncic and Reaves. Both were injured in the recent 43-point loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder and are still recovering.

Currently, all indications suggest Reaves and Doncic are likely to miss the first round of the playoffs, needing several weeks for full recovery. Doncic's Grade 2 hamstring strain is more severe than Reaves' left oblique strain.

They might even be sidelined until next season, depending on whether the Lakers advance to the second playoff round.
