In this training session, the team combines established talents from youth teams over recent periods with many new promising players.
This continues a clear trend of youth development, with core players born from 2005 to 2007, aligning with VFF's long-term plan to build a successor generation for the national team, while preparing personnel for important tasks in 2026, especially the Asian Games in September.
Before departure, Đinh Hồng Vinh reduced Vietnam U23 roster to 25 players. Those excluded are Antonio Moric, Nguyễn Lê Phát, Trương Nhạc Minh, Nguyễn Trọng Tuấn, and Lê Nguyễn Văn Thọ.
