The U23 Vietnam team starts a series of training days to prepare for their opening match against U23 North Korea in the CFA Team China 2026.
After a long journey with a night flight from Hanoi and a transit in Guangzhou, the team U23 Vietnam has arrived in Xi'an to participate in the CFA Team China 2026 friendly tournament.
Upon arriving in China, the entire team moved to the Novotel Xian Xixian hotel for a light evening meal and room rest. Despite having just completed a long trip, the players quickly stabilized their physical condition to begin their first training session.
On the first day of adapting to the new environment, Coach Đinh Hồng Vinh proactively reduced the workload by having the team warm up in a park near their accommodation. Afterwards, U23 Vietnam proceeded to their official training session at the field of the Shaanxi training center. The weather in Xi'an at this time is quite cold, around 13°C, but the field quality is good, helping the players maintain enthusiasm and complete the training plan well. In this official training session, the U23 Vietnam team increased the intensity of training to prepare for their opening match against U23 North Korea.
Evaluating the first day in China, Coach Đinh Hồng Vinh said the team adapted quickly and maintained a positive spirit. According to him, despite continuous travel, the players still demonstrated professionalism, cohesion, and mutual support in daily life and training. The accommodation, food, and nutrition conditions were also ensured by the organizers, providing a physical foundation for the team before entering competition.
According to the schedule, the U23 Vietnam team will play their opening match against U23 North Korea at 14:00 on March 25. On March 28, they will face U23 Thailand at 14:00, before meeting the host China at 18:35 on March 31 in the final round match.
