Midfielder Hamza Chowdhury joined the Bangladesh national football team on the afternoon of March 24. Initially, he was scheduled to arrive in Vietnam from last Sunday but could not due to commitments with Leicester City. Yesterday, Hamza Chowdhury departed England on a Turkish Airlines flight and arrived in Vietnam at 4 PM on March 24.
Bangladesh team leader Amer Khan personally went to the airport to welcome Hamza. The immigration and airport procedures took over half an hour. The Bangladesh team's training session in Hanoi took place at 5 PM yesterday. Due to the long flight, Hamza did not train with his teammates.
Speaking to Bangladeshi media, Hamza Chowdhury expressed excitement about meeting his teammates and preparing for the match against the Vietnam national team.
Upon arriving in Hanoi, he confirmed: "The injury is no longer an issue."
"I am very eager to train and play," Hamza added. This star also conveyed Eid greetings to his teammates in the national team on the training pitch after a long period of absence.
According to Bangladeshi media, Hamza is likely to be named in the starting lineup for the international friendly match against the Vietnam national team tomorrow.
