Coach Kim Sang Sik's special comments on the duo Xuân Son - Hoàng Hên

Coach Kim Sang Sik shared notable insights about the naturalized players Xuân Son and Hoàng Hên ahead of the friendly match between the Vietnamese national team and the Bangladesh national team.

During the March training camp of the Vietnamese national team, Đỗ Hoàng Hên is the most spotlighted name. The Brazilian-born naturalized striker will debut in the traditional red jersey and is expected to deliver explosive performances in upcoming campaigns.

At the press conference before the friendly match with Bangladesh, Coach Kim Sang Sik expressed excitement about working with the 1994-born player, emphasizing that his inclusion will provide the team with more attacking options.

The Korean strategist shared: "Regarding Đỗ Hoàng Hên, after five years of dedicated performance for V-League clubs, he now has the opportunity to join the Vietnamese national team. I am very pleased about this. After five years of contributions and performances, this is Hên's first call-up. Recently, watching his play, I believe he will contribute significantly to the attack and offer the coaching staff multiple tactical options in creating scoring opportunities and goals."

Hoàng Hên has completed four training sessions with Vietnam's top football stars. Therefore, the upcoming friendly against Bangladesh is an ideal opportunity for the Brazilian-born player to make an impressive debut before millions of Vietnamese fans, thereby gaining the coaching staff's trust for future tournaments.

Meanwhile, Nguyễn Xuân Son, another Brazilian-born naturalized player, is also part of this training camp. Regarding the striker from Nam Định Steel, Kim confirmed there will be multiple strategies to pair him with Hoàng Hên. Additionally, the 1976-born coach revealed that the 1997-born forward needs thorough examination to avoid unnecessary injuries.

He added: "With Xuân Son and Hoàng Hên, I can use them in a two-striker attacking formation, or as a lone striker."

Currently, Xuân Son has a minor thigh injury. Today, the medical team will conduct checks to determine the best methods to ensure he is in optimal condition for tomorrow's match."
