Teeratep Winothai praised Jehhanafee Mamah
In the 22nd minute, Jehhanafee Mamah of Thailand U23 opened the scoring after Siraphop Wandee's assist. Following a pass from the right flank, Jehhanafee Mamah controlled the ball at the edge of the penalty area and unleashed a volley that shook China U23's net.
During the halftime break, Teeratep Winothai praised the killer instinct of the striker wearing PT Prachuap FC jersey, Jehhanafee Mamah. The 41-year-old legend stated: "The opening goal 1-0 shows the instinct of a true striker. It is a combination of technique, skill, and decision-making ability. If he (Jehhanafee Mamah) hesitated even a moment to control the ball further, the opportunity would definitely have passed."
"A player only 20 years old performing like that has a very promising future. He turned a difficult situation into an opportunity. Although the first touch might not be perfect because the ball was lofted, thanks to extremely quick turning ability and good positional sense, he shot immediately," said Teeratep Winothai.
With the goal against China U23, Jehhanafee Mamah will be a name that Vietnam U23 needs to be wary of when facing Thailand U23 on March 28.
