VFF senior leader speaks at AFC, reveals key factor at Women's Asian Cup Finals

Ms. Nguyen Thanh Ha - Deputy General Secretary of the Vietnam Football Federation, highlighted the fundamental role of the Women's Asian Cup Finals in advancing the overall growth of Asian women's football.

Ms. Nguyen Thanh Ha – Deputy General Secretary of the Vietnam Football Federation continues to affirm her role and impact on international football forums by participating in a series of interviews by the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) on the sidelines of the Women's Asian Cup Finals 2026. Holding multiple important positions, she not only represents Vietnam but also contributes to the shared development direction of women's football across the continent.

During the exchange, Ms. Nguyen Thanh Ha stressed the importance of Asia's premier tournament for the sustainable development of women's football. According to her, the crucial factor lies not only in expertise but also in the organization and operation of the tournament, which serves as the foundation for long-term success.

“This is one of the most important foundations for developing women's football across the continent,” she stated. “Over the years, the tournament has helped elevate the visibility of women's football, encouraged young players to pursue football careers, and strengthened the women's football ecosystem throughout Asia.”

Not limited to a macro perspective, Ms. Thanh Ha also shared the advantages of concurrently holding multiple key roles. Serving both as a Match Supervisor and a member of the AFC Women's Football Committee allows her to have a multidimensional view, from on-field practice to management and administration.

“As a member of the AFC Women's Football Committee, my experience as a Match Supervisor enables me to contribute more effectively, as I continuously gain fresh perspectives to discuss with colleagues to enhance many areas of this sport, including referee development, coach training, technical analysis, and commercial development,” Ms. Nguyen Thanh Ha emphasized.

Her presence and contributions at major events not only demonstrate her personal capability but also reflect the increasingly elevated status of Vietnamese football.
