Thanh Nhàn scores, PVF-CAND narrowly escapes with a draw against Becamex TP.HCM

PVF-CAND and Becamex TP.HCM share points in a dramatic match during round 17 of V-League 2025/26.

PVF-CAND started proactively with the intention of imposing their style early. The home team pushed their formation high, continuously seeking to pressure the opponent's half from the very first minutes. However, before they could create a difference, they allowed Becamex TP.HCM to gradually regain control. After an initial period of being pressured, the visiting team played more confidently, controlled the ball well, and organized several dangerous attacking moves.

A golden opportunity came for PVF-CAND in the 22nd minute when the home team was awarded a penalty. Xuân Bắc made a decisive move inside the box, forcing Milos to commit a foul. Yet, from the 11-meter spot, Thanh Nhàn failed to beat goalkeeper Minh Toàn, letting the chance to open the score slip away regrettably.

After squandering the opportunity, PVF-CAND quickly suffered a retaliatory blow. In the 40th minute, from a precise cross on the left flank, Mạc Hồng Quân leaped high for a dangerous header, putting Becamex TP.HCM ahead 1-0. The conceded goal forced the home team to increase pressure, but their final combinations lacked the necessary sharpness.

Entering the second half, PVF-CAND continued their attacking stance with determination to find an equalizer. Coach Trần Tiến Đại's personnel adjustments brought positive signs. After many efforts to press forward, the home team also found the equalizing goal in the 64th minute. From Bá Đạt's favorable lofted ball, Thanh Nhàn jumped high for an accurate header, redeeming his earlier mistake by scoring to bring the match back to square one.
