ATP Miami Masters: Sinner and Zverev Advance to Semifinals

On March 27, Beijing time, the two semifinal spots in the men's singles upper half of the ATP Miami Masters were determined. Sinner maintained his flawless March performance, defeating 19th seed Tiafoe 6-2, 6-2 in just 71 minutes during the quarterfinals. He secured his 15th consecutive Masters win, extending his streak of consecutive sets won at this level to 30. In his five appearances in Miami, he has reached the semifinals four times.

Sinner delivered a dominant performance in this match, losing only 9 points on his serve. After the match, he stated: "Whether on or off the court, it's essential to maintain a calm mindset, as the intensive schedule and training over the past three to four weeks have drained a lot of my energy. I will continue to give my all. I know this is the final hard court event before transitioning to the clay season, so reaching the semifinals again makes me very happy."

Currently, Sinner is just two wins away from achieving the "Sunshine Double." He aims to become the first male player since Federer in 2017 to accomplish this feat. He will face third seed Zverev in the semifinals. Zverev also performed impressively, defeating 18th seed F. Cerundolo 6-1, 6-2, marking his first back-to-back appearance in the Sunshine Double semifinals in the same year.

"Tomorrow will be the toughest test," Zverev said, looking ahead to the semifinal. "I'm looking forward to it. My recent form has been good, and I hope to maintain it." Sinner and Zverev will meet for their 12th encounter, with the Italian star leading 7-4 and having secured six consecutive wins against the German.
