Tran Thi Thanh Thuy and her teammates could not achieve a breakthrough against Hisamitsu Springs, a team that has won the Japanese National Volleyball Championship eight times.
After a swift defeat against Hisamitsu Springs the previous day, the Gunma Green Wings girls performed better in the rematch at the Japanese National Women's Volleyball Championship on March 22. The match started at 12:05, between Gunma and Hisamitsu Springs, concluding after five intense sets with a score of 2-3 (25-18, 15-25, 22-25, 25-21, 13-15).

Gunma started confidently and won the first set 25-18 thanks to the proactive play of Thanh Thuy and her teammates. However, Hisamitsu Springs immediately counterattacked strongly in sets 2 and 3, particularly in set 3, where Gunma led 17-12 but allowed their opponents to reverse the score to 25-22. Set 4 was Gunma's fierce response, they secured a 25-21 win, equalizing the score to 2-2, pushing the match into the decisive set.
Set 5 was tense, both teams exchanged blows, but Gunma still could not overcome Hisamitsu's caliber. Despite Thanh Thuy scoring 18 points with a 42.9% attack efficiency and 3 blocks, along with Rozanski's 24 points (35.1%, 3 blocks and 1 ace - serve), the team had to accept a bitter 2-3 defeat. On Hisamitsu's side, Samedy led with 24 points (43.4%), Nakajima 18 points (47.2%), and Hirayama 14 points (32%, 4 blocks and 2 aces) formed a stable strength to maintain advantage in decisive situations.
Despite the loss, Gunma Green Wings maintained their 7th position on the rankings. This match demonstrated the team's strong fighting spirit, especially Thanh Thuy's, but the caliber and experience of Hisamitsu Springs, a club with eight Japanese championships, remained a formidable challenge. This was a regrettable defeat but also an opportunity for Gunma to learn and improve their gameplay for upcoming matches.
