Vietnam's top volleyball assistant player earns first recognition in Japan following outstanding performance.

Assistant Tran Thi Bich Thuy is honored for the first time in the Japanese National Volleyball Championship following Okayama Seagulls' win.

On March 22, Okayama Seagulls displayed impressive form by defeating Toray Arrows Shiga 3-1 (25-21, 25-18, 22-25, 25-15) in their third match of the season. This game featured a standout performance by Vietnamese athlete Bich Thuy, who plays for Okayama Seagulls and was awarded Player Of The Match (the most outstanding player of the game).

In Set 1, Okayama started strongly, consistently leading against Toray. Even when the opponent leveled the score at times, Bich Thuy's crucial scoring plays helped the home team finish the set with a 25-21 win. Set 2 saw Okayama dominate, creating a clear gap and quickly extending the score to 2-0.

Set 3 witnessed Toray Arrows Shiga's resistance. With Furukawa (23 points, 35.7%) and Lohuis (16 points, 43.3%) shining, Toray secured a 25-22 victory, narrowing the score to 1-2 and creating tense, dramatic moments. However, in Set 4, Okayama regained control, dominating the net and scoring effectively to conclude the match with a final 3-1 win.

The top scorers for Okayama included Amika Saiki with 23 points, Bich Thuy with 13 points, and Rinka with 10 points, while Toray had Furukawa with 23 points, Lohuis with 16 points, and Okawa with 12 points. The victory placed Okayama Seagulls 12th in the rankings and affirmed the role of Bich Thuy, Vietnam's number one volleyball assistant player.

Yesterday (March 21), Okayama Seagulls ended a 13-match losing streak with a 3-0 victory over Toray Arrows Shiga, thanks to the excellent performance of Vietnamese assistant Tran Thi Bich Thuy. In this match, Bich Thuy stood out with quick attacks and solid blocking, helping the team control the entire game.
